The Beginning

Hello.

A greeting is always a good way to start something. After that it can be a little difficult to come up with something, but I'll do my best. My name is Derek and I'll be your blogger for today. Since I don't really feel like writing an autobiography on my life right now, I'll throw the basics down:

I'm a college student in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan (check a map, it exists) who thinks way to much and has issues. Surefire blog hit, I suspect.

Now that that's out of the way, I'll get to the moment. The rest of my life may or may not be filled in as this continues.


Sitting at home right now, wondering what the world is up to. It's kind of hard in a place like Mass (population 200, located in Greenland township, Ontonagon county (if you know where the hell that is (which I doubt))) to have some sort of connection with the world at large, and so here I sit, reading, pondering deep thoughts, and all that stuff.

In reality I just want to get back to Marquette and start the next semester. There's not really much to do here, and I still have 11 days to suffer through. Here's hoping there's some excitement come out of nowhere to shock and entertain me.
